My EB 4.0 has just gone 205,000 k's and has developed a funny noise that i origainally thought was the extractors (2.5") rattling just a bit loose at the head...But it seems to resonate down into the sump also sounding like say a loose baffle in the sump and it don't sound like the cam chain.....A big end would make more of a knock and it don't go away when i free rev it! I don't wanna rebuild now!!!

Yeah i reckon Smee has got the same thing....I gotta monitor it and check it over more....Will take plugs out and try to watch for some piston/pin slack at t.d.c....Might even hear be able to hear it....though it still may not show that way either!
