Picked my car up from suspension shop today, they said when it came off the hoist from being lowered (king spring kit) they said the ABS light was on. I got into it turned on the ignition and the light came on as normal and went off as normal. I started the car it came on again and went off again normal. Roadtested no problems. Dropped guy back off at shop and drove home, ABS light came on while driving. Yet to let them know thats its back on, but mag wheel shop, possibly not so clued up on ABS. Anyone have any ideas as to what it might be? It didnt even drive off the hoist when the light was on. They said they checked everything they did and all was ok? Is there a quick reset proceedure for this, to see if it really comes up as a fault or not? Thanks in advance.... Matt

Sounds like they gave 1 of the front sensor wires a yank. check your front abs sensors.

thanks, thats sorta what I thought, I have a funny feeling its the RF one.
Ill go to my buddies garage tomorra and put it on the computer checker. Ill post the result

Yeah, that happened to my xr6t after i lowered it, my fault.
When putting the struts back in i couldn't be bothered threading the wire underneath the strut, so I left it hanging around the front, i remember checking that it wouldn't tighten when I turned, but it did. I drove without T/C and ABS for a while but just ended up replacing both sensors, a costly lesson Caspertt |

exactly that, it still went thru the whishbone part of the shock but they had pulled the cable a bit thru the cable ties and made it slightly longer so when I was on full lock the cable would go around the ball joint thread and pull on the sensor, making the light come on. It was only the right one and you could only check it while the car was on the ground under its own weight.

Just to add to that, it is a trick for the uninitiated, you should disconnect them from hub by undoing the little bolts on the sensor before dropping the lower shock bolt, common on other vehicles also.
