Why would you not drive in the rain, Shakers were fitted to XY GT's and never a problem.

Pricey there is no problem at all with driving in the rain with a shaker scoop. If you look at the dynamics of the scoop with the filter any water hitting the scoop will dissipate into smaller droplets then when they enter the air filter they will be finer still. You would only hydraulic a motor if you thru a bucket straight into the scoop. Ive got an XC with the bonnet flutes and a cowl and im not concerned at all. As paulc said XY had them so dont stress, go and fit one

A lot of hipo engines run water injection anyway to prevent detonation, so a bit of light h2o ingress through the intake will not ba problem!

And the wet filter will cool the air even further for that incy wincy 0.1kw gain.
