Hi there, need some assistance....
Car: EB Sedan Issue: Ive replaced the washer bottle motor (cheapo unit from supercheap auto) and the primary tube from the bottle to the T section. Ive checked the remainder of the lines up to the squirters and they seem clear. The problem I have is dud pressure. The squirters are still weak and just spraying all over the shop. The whole system used to be great, but it seems stuffed now.... Do you reckon the squirters need replacing?? Are good ones available?? Get a better washer bottle motor with more power?? Suggestions welcome. |

When you shut the bonnet is it kinking the tube running to the nozzles? My EB had this problem when I first got it. Just had to rerun the tubes.

Very common problem! I fixed this for my bro in his EB, and had 2 Skylines do this! |

Update:
Lines seem OK. Have replaced the motor, as the last one was throwing water into the engine bay as well as into the tube. (dont buy the ones from Supercheap Auto, got my money back) New motor is slightly better pressure, but still not as good as it used to be. Thats it, im done. It will do, as I am now demented. Cheers. OK.....Finally done.
All working good and strong now. The solution was: 1. The new motor, "NICE" brand part No NWP500, $18, from Gibbos Spares (This came with a replacement rubber grommet too) 2. Replace the main feeder tube from the motor to the T-junction, $1.50 3. Replace the washer nozzles. Could only get the genuine FORD ones here (as the other type I found wouldn't fit) $34 a pair, complete rip off, but its working. This was the clincher. All done. Obsession over. Thankyou for your help people.... |
