I'm about to colour my dash and interior and I've noticed that VHT have a vinyl and plastic paint or a penetrating colour dye. To me the dye seems like a better option but the guy at autobarn said to use the paint. What do you guys use and recommend??

i used the plastic and vinyl paint for supercheap on my dash and door trims. work very well if you clean the panels well and use a plastic primer

on the top off the doors and the dash i used black vinyl spray from supercheap. works a treat and it hasnt faded as off yet, been left in the sun ever day.. looks really well and not blotchy, even coat.

I took a gamble and used the dye on the dash but the stuff from supercheap is a bit cheaper so i might use that for the rest. Do you need to use a particular primer and clear coat or will I get away with whatever I've already got??

you dont need to prime it jsut rub it back if you want a smooth finish.
i used 180 down to 400 wet dry. no primer,
