Ok, Ive read the forums... cant find the info I need re fitting a Start Button.

Im pretty cluded up with electrics, I havent got the button yet (ariving in post soon) but I was hoping someone had the ins and outs of installing the button to the dash and wiring it up into a BA XR6.

I understand i need to remove a couple of pins from the 16 plug socket under the steering column. Thats fine no worries, just would be nice to be able to go straight there and do it rather than nut it out for 3 hours.

Can anyone help?

thanks disco frank but this aint no au piss easy, shes a BA XR6 and it needs to be fitted like it came outta the factory.

I can wire in any relay to any start system on any car but I want to do this properly.

Im after the directions on what colour wires to pull outta what colour connectors to put into the other colour connectors, etc etc.

Some-one out there has the instructions.

Cheers.

Button, like the factory ones. I have an original kit that plugs into the loom.

I was thinking about using the "Econ Button", from an AU forte, in my XR6 as a start button. I thought I'd just get the AU Forts inner and outer T-Bar housings with the Button recess and hook up the econ button. It's only a push on -- push off type button though. Do you think it'd work?

Ok mate, thanks for that. I might try the "Econ" button hooked up to a spare battery and starter motor I think I can get access to. Nothing lost if it doesn't work, I'll just have to get the press button.
