me and a few of my mates bought a limo over the christmas break,
302 clevo, on petrol, LPG, silver,
needs a bit of rust cutting out and the vinyl roof removed, add a sunroof etc,
then some paint and wheels and lowering and it will look awesome..

wasnt a turn key when we bought it, and didnt have time to stuff around and try get a permit, but we got it going after we got it back home, after sorting through the spaghetti for a while to figure out what wires we didnt need to get it going, and what ones we just didnt need at the time at all...

after we whacked another carby on it (old one was all dried out) seems to run pretty well, even idled, and u gotta love the sound of the secondaries on a big thermoquad hehehe
cooling system needs a good flush, the C4 behind it has a nice shift to it with no slippage, so its all pretty good

basically it will be getting paint within the next 4 months, and after that, its all downhill to the finished Limo

EDIT: pic is in my gallery

The Limo sounds like an excellent project. I'm guessing it's an LTD or a Fairlane.....What model is it?

gonna try drifting it????

hopefuly you realise that it'll be seriously impractical as a daily driver, but it'll be a b**ch cruiser!

Pity about speedbumps but. Lower it right down, nice mags, new paint, and shell come up a treat :D

we have already drifted it, well if you can call going very sideways around a corner and leaving 2 big skids a drift, was interesting, but fun :D

i would drive it as a daily driver if i could get it into the car park at work, but yeah it will be an awesome cruiser, thats why we bought it, a bunch of us can pile in and go for a weekend holiday or whatever, and all but the driver get drunk on the way, play xbox/watch a movie etc etc
already have a Xbox put aside for it as well, we are going to get a 15" TFT for the back, things become alot cheaper when split 4 ways..

not sure how far we can lower it, i dont think we can go too far before it becomes speedbump unfriendly, because of the extra chassis rails under it from the stretch... we will see how it goes, may have to invest in air bags for it, depends on how cut for time we are before nats next year..

Awesome!!! I'd buy an NL limo in a second and transfer the blower on there.

Sounds like an awesome project guys.

Seen a silver NL limo in a car trader few eeks back, i was shocked it was so cheap - 25k!
Its was a 8 seater i think it said.
Very cool project car i say, but rego n crap; drivers licence and soon would be costly; aslo insurance if need be?

Id like a black DL one with airbags hehe, cool!

put hydrolics in it then you would never have to worry about a speed bump ever again

IIRC you dont need a special licence for a limo if its for private use
