Hey all ... well, just got an EF XR6 here, picked up at actions, problem is, its got no keys ..

Okay, Now, I know you can't hot wire it or anything, From what I understand, I can replace the barrel & lock with another one (EL falcon that I have here sitting here).

But, you need to leave it in the ON postion for 30mins or is it 60mins? .. so it will re-learn the new key barrel? ...

Or will it start straight away? ... Don't really wanna put the BEM into smart lock immobliser mode! ..

So just making sure before I do it ...

you will need to leave it on for about 60 mins mate before smartlock learns the new barrel

The smaller 4pin plug goes to your BEM. Thats how the ignition switch sends the coded ignition signal to the BEM to disable smartlock.

yeh the smaller wire is the smartlock wiring.
we have this problem all the time.
just plug in the EL ignition. and leave it in the on position for 40mins
the door locks will cycle and the smart lock light will turn off
the car will now start.
dont be impatient if you try to start it B4 time you will need to start the 40 mins again
