hey guys my brother just bought a xr6 turbo and the stereo is s**t. He wants to update the speakers. What size speakers will fit? He wanted to put 6x9s in the rear will they fit on the parcel shelf?

pull the old speakers out.. and look at what size they are....
thats how i find out what size speakers where in there...

i think its 5 by 7 in the front and pritty shure 6 by 9 in the back

i thought it was 5x7 all round..
someone with a ba on hear will help ya out. or you could pull em out and check.

the back are 5x7...
not sure about the front, havnt pulled off the door trims yet

All the speakers a 7x5's.
Just changed them over in a mates car last weekend. Also don't wreck the covers on the rears cause they will need to go back on. The grills that come with normal speakers wont cover where the original grills are. I think it looks better anyway as it keeps it stock looking and doesn't attract thieves. |

Ditto, I have aftermarket speakers but you wouln't be able to tell unless you had a really good look.
5x7's all the way around indeed. |
