you cant change the timing on a EF ,unless you fit an aftermarket ecu

idel has nothing to do with timing ,thats all done with the isc or a stepper motor ,you can change the idel thats easy

that has nothing to do with it. You set the base idle speed with the idle stop screw on the side of the throttle body and then the computer controls the rest with the ISC.

The timing on an EF will never change. After 20 years it will be the same as it was when it left the factory so there is no need to reset it.
