Hi All
I have a question I have looked on the forums but can not find the answer ot my question.
I have a xr8 au2 it has a stock exhaust I would like to take the last muffler off to give it a better sound has anyone done this before and does it sound ok?

thats the resinator. removing it is the easiest way to make it sound a bit better, so yeah go for it

Yea i dont see why note.
I have been told for the six's that taking the last muffler out doesnt do much but i remember we had a BA XR8 Ute in at work 5-speed manual and all it had was were the exhaust goes over the diff it had the two little hot dogs there removed and the rear muffler removed as well and had a single 3" section put in half way up the diff and the rest of the way out and boy did it sound good for a pretty much stock exhaust

Yea why not mate, whats the worst that can happen it wont make it THAT much louder, it is going to be louder just maybe not that much.

I removed the resinator and it sounds great not to loud but it has the v8 sound I was after.

Good mod for $100

By the way
The car is in the smash repairers today dam that power 2nd gear + 3000 + corner = OFF ROAD

mate just sneak in bend the exhaust on it so they can chane that too lol = free
