would the ea trip computer work in a EB2-ED or only EA because i may get a ea trip computer and paint the buttons to make it look like a ed one

Yes it will work in your ED providing you can sort the wiring . If you can sort a computer with the wiring plug the code colours will help . If you can not procure a unit with a wiring plug I may be able to help.

as above but u will have to run one wire from the trip computer to the ecu and im not 100%sure how its done i didnt pay attention which wire it is and where it goes on the ecu
