is it pretty straight foreward? i assume i just need to make sure the starter isolator from the auto switch is removed and a link put in to give the system tyhe impression its in park or nuetral? and the most reliable box to drop in, it may get given a hard time so i dont want it popping like my old commodores m76, but cost a factor, so a stock 4 speed borg? one last thing, the fuel injection magement, will it work ok? i just have a throttle body dual injector set up?

this helped me HEAPS when i did my manual conversion

your sig says you have a eb, then your after the trusty T5, and if its given a hard time get a good clutch, as the stock ones are made out of paper mache'

how much? whats the going rate, and from what model should i pull one, any recomended brand of clutch? Repco have those flash ones, but dont allow for slipping much, either on/off. I'm only getting one crack at this, so dont want to be banging my head on the wall if something screws up or doesnt fit. Holdens I can do in my sleep, but this is my first ford, so i want to make sure its worthy. Thanks for advice so far.

you probably want the box out of any model later than EB1, better ratios and none of this crunching into reverse business, some people claim the later boxes are stronger, dont know about that though. price range from about 600-1000, depending on model and condition, thats for full conversion too

Make sure you instal a manual ECU along with the clutch pedal etc . You will have to change the tailshaft as well

i did mine.
Buy a car with the t5 in it, and swap it over, cost me $600.
You will have to make a bracket for the clutch pedal in the car (well i did) and slip some wires into plugs to trick the computer that it's in park, other than that, it was simple unblot and bolt straight up, tail shafts are the same, auto ECU working fine for me.
enjoy the fun of manual!
