HI all has anybody purchased those exhaust dump valves the ones that you fit into your extractors so that you dont have to drop your pipes just operate a valve. Chasing the company that sells them cant find info in the mag. Cheers

I remember searching for 'exhaust pipe solenoid valve' or something on ebay. They sell them from the US but they're pretty expensive from memory.

They looked pretty well made though, from billet aluminum and stuff.

Good luck!

Hi,
there are two main types - the cast iron ones that you get underneath to unbolt a plate, then there are the electric ones... they were selling them thru our local Autobarn store, $165 each (but this was during a sale...)

I've watched these over the years, I'd love to fit them but when they were only in the US the price was way too much - but 165 is do-able...

Dunno if you have a local Autobarn but the one I'm talking about (in Adelaide) is on (08) 8234 7344 - this is the same one that had them in its catalog for $165.....

I did read about an exhaust solenoid you could be, like a butterfly valve the is mounted in the exhaust with a solenoid on the side. the valve has holes cut in it so the exhaust still flows whilst closed, but when you push a button the valve opens fully so you get better flow and heaps more noise. I am chasing some of these does anyone know where I could get them?

Audi use them on their new RS4 V8, so most of the time it is a quiet luxo barge, then when the valves open its got a real growl.
