while i was converting my car to power windows i accidently broke the plastic rod that pushes the buttun up on the drivers side door trim how do i replace the rod
i cant see how it comes out
it is an el falcon

tried that one end is stuck inside the door and the other is inside the little button that goes up and down

It has a loop on the end and you have to contort and twist it to get it out. Worst case is that you have to unbolt the door latch.

if you need help, let me know as I broke mine and replaced it with a rod that you get with those jaycar central locking kits. I have at least one left. and they work a treat, not only that they are metal and not some cheap plastic.

Use pliers to get the button off the rod.

I actually glued & taped mine back together until I replaced it about a year later. Only replaced it though because I had the trim off and had a spare rod lying around.

Still worked perfectly even with the bodge fix though!
