how much should i be looking at paying for a smartlock key fob for an el?
and is it possible to get another key and program it myself? Cheers

This much. Cannot program keys - MR Minit charge $55 to copy EF/EL keys.

the key isnt programmed. you can get them at most good locksmiths.
the remotes are programmable by yourself, the procedure has been mentioned here many times and is also in the owners manual. New keys are about $15(from Ford) plus cutting, the remotes are about $85 (these do come up on ebay often cheaper though and can be programmed easy)

theyrea ll cut differently just like any key
$55 is a bit rich. i work at a ford dealer and we only charge $20 or $25 to supply and cut the key |

thats only the smartsheild keys which i think came oout in the AU2..
xpression - when you do the keys at work is it cut to VIN or do you copy the key
