You don't necessarily need to lower your car to improve its handling. Stiffer springs and better quality shock absorbers would improve your handling heaps.
Do you guys measure under your vehicles for the minimum height of 10mm or whatever it is, so that you don't get defected or 'canaried' as you Mexicans call it

this is my ef fairmont wagon, king lows in front, 2" lowering blocks in rear.
It needs to be a bit lower i think but superlows are just too low. lows are the most practical for all usage the rear tank. the ride is still smooth and with lows you can keep the std front shocks. with superlows you need to get the right shocks to suit the lowered springs. i tried superlows in my old ea with stock shocks and only had 3/4" suspension travel until it bottomed. the ride was crap with big banging in the front on big bumps.

That ride height looks spot on with those wheels and the stance of the wagon
When are you coming on a cruise luke? sam

Just to expand on the topic a little, are lowered springs enough to increase the handling manners of the car by a bit............... Yep, absolutely. I installed King Lows, new Monroe shocks and a camber kit in my car and have not looked back... It handles 200% better, and it still has all the standard sway bars etc. 225 tyres certainly help too..... I chose low's for practicality and insurance policy compliance. No more bounce and sway like a boat... Trust me, you will love it. |

I'll have some pics with superlows and ultima short shock shortly, have done the rears today and they dropped 20mm of "my" stock height (which I think could be XR height), I'm tipping my front won't do to much as it now sits level, leading me to believe my fronts are shagged, but tomorrow will tell.
I have some photos of the springs side by side, the difference is about the thickness of the coil steel. and I managed to get the old one's out and the new ones in without having to lower the diff, compressed the old ones with compressors, and the new ones went in with a slight squashing my hand, so the only bolts I undid were the shock bolts.

here's a before and after shot, initial measurements show the SLs dropped the rear by 20mm and the fronts 10mm. thats ground to guard.
the static difference on the coils side by side was the thickness of the standard spring steel. edit, pics uploaded back to front, top is after, bottom is before.

Nice ride EB92, they are the pics I was after, was having trouble deciding on Kings LOWS or S/LOWS.
Low's look like the goods. I can tackle the rears I think, done them before on my other ride. Did u use monroe GT's all round? are they alright? |

EF/ELs the XRs are 35mm lower in the front and 32mm in the rear than the standard falcon range ...
Lovell and King will also fabricate custom springs to suit your needs and knock em out in 2 weeks too which is good dont think price would be that bad either.

i went for a set of dobinson lows which is pretty much the exact same height as xr springs.
this was due to insurance reasons. Im hoping that it settles a little bit maybe about 5-10mm or so, i installed them yesterday.
