just wondering if anyone knows how to pull apart AU headlights so can paint the silver bits behind the lense. not sure wether to go body colour or black.
any help would be grateful before I attempt this.

yes u can! several members on here have done it i have seen and read the instructions but not enough to retype them here u basically pull the light to basics ie remove the globe etc then needs to be placed in the oven , forgot the temp and time then u pry the lens from body spray the bezl and stick back together with silicone

ohh well iirc it was pretty low like 150deg for 10 mins if that... still cant find it on aufalcon

Can't you?? Don't use the oven man. If your missus or your mum has a hair dryer put it on high and blowdry it till its hot.. then pry the clear lens off with a flat blade screwdriver. Careful getting the indicator lens out of the bezel though, theres 3 clips and the pricks break. |

Same method works well on EF/EL lights too. And tail lights.
The glue used is heat sensitive. You can also avoid using silicone, by reheating the pieces (getting the glue hot again), and putting them back together. I did that on my EL tail lights, and they never leaked.

Thanks for the info too, will try that kinda sounds a tad bit safer

Do it body colour.. everyone does them black and they look nothing special.
