haha my first post in this bit.
well, i wnat to know if its possible to put a SC12 supercharger onto a 4.0L ohc engine. i dont know much about these engines, never owning a car that had one in it. the sc12 is off a corolla, obviously 4 cylinder. would it be able to go straight on without changing drivelines/box etc etc... im finding out for a mate |

It can be done with some modification but its not worth the effort.
The supercharger is too small. |

It would give you a bit of punch off the line but anything over 3000rpm and its choking the engine. you need at least 2 and the fabrication to mount them would set you back more than a powerdyne unit from crappa.

mates gota a supercharger that runs bout 8 psi. Just wondering if its worth putting on as in would it choke an el 6 cyclinder.

teh sc-12 is way too small for a 4l, some people have fitted a sc-14 of the 1g-gze 2l motors, these are still a little small and will choke the engine at high rpm but they are better then the sc 12

SC-14's run out of puff at about 180-190kw, you can easily get that kind of power with a cam change without the heat loading etc that the supercharger will add. Using two would be good, but will cost a fair amount, if you really want to roots style supercharge better to go find an Eaton M112 or at minimum an M90, they both sell reasonably cheaply on ebay, if you look hard enough.
