wondering what the go is with the T5 gearbox between the VN/VP and the T5's between falcons i relise the syncho things are removed in the reverse gear or something.. any way i want to know if the VN t5 with an ea bellhousing fit in with my manual conversion

ratios between the Falcon and Commodore
also the splines or something is different.
legnth???

I heard something about the input shafts being longer on V6 Commo T5's.
The only way to know is to have them together and look.

I think input shaft lengths, and also shifter location mate.
Best bet is to ring Mal Wood Automotive at Warwick, I have always found Ben to be super helpful.
I am pretty sure from memory its a no go though...

You cant swap between any two of the holden or ford 6 or 8 cylinder gearboxes. The holden 6 has a 240mm input shaft, the holden 8 has a 205mm shaft, the ford 6 has a 167mm shaft, and the ford 8 has a 193mm shaft. Ford and holden also use different spline spacing. You are better off just getting the gearbox that fits your car.

cheers yeah i am going to snag an E- something t5 nah i naturally assume a t5 is a t5 minus bellhousing differences cheers
