if i was to be playing god with a 4l bottom end, i would aim to de-stroke it.. ill watch for the results.
great to see you having a red hot go at this, i have been browsing the scat and eagle catalogs to see what sort of cheap conrod alternatives are out there, be good to find something useable, since you could buy a set of off the shelf rods from the states for about $500-600

GRN WGN, to be honest i would now stay away from the toploader, there designed to go behind muscle cars and thats were they should stay!! but cost anyway: (roughly)
Bellhousin standard I6 Modded $150 Clutch 450$ Tailshaft $350 (complete 4" foam filled) overkill SHifter $650 Renagate seqentual Box $1000 i would go the C4 route or R154 like esb-4l personally |

That red caravan towing AIT/AVO EA has a destroked AU 3.6 litre in it. It makes roughly 400rwkw with a T04z. It might be making more now. Im not sure of the exact details, maybe EFFalcon or Rmyers knows more. Rmyers is mates with the owner. |

lol ok im wrong after thinking about it a little more. the center line is moved up therefore the rod has to be shorter or the piston pin height needs to be higher.
silicone, i just thourgh i will grab some while im up here, never know when i will need it.

It might be making more now.. hey dan, yea, i know it has been done, and it has been VERY successful aswell.... one combination i know of uses a 200ci crankshaft... since it extends the rpm limit (reduced piston speed, and reduced piston side-loading) it allows you to make more power using less boost with a higher rpm.. the drop in torque wouldnt be anything to worry about think about how all the popular jap engines make such incredible HP with seemingly MINISCULE displacement... its all in the RPM

Dellow make a bellhousing as well.
I think someone mentioned that there was quality issues with them on another forum though. Why have you decided to go auto? |

the toploader just wasnt wat i wanted, and i dont want the unreliabilty issue's of a T5, i now there's other stronger manuals, but i think going the auto now would be beter for me in the long run.

How much power are you going for?
Ive been recommended to stay away from a C series and go a glide or a T400 from KEAS for reliabilities sake. |

the toploader i6 didnt seem to have enough torque at take off for it, if id changed the diff ratio to 3:9 or sumtin it would probable been a different story, but it was reving at about 3000 at 110 anyway. plus in just getting lazy
