Hi

I need to replace the lower control arm bushes in my EB falcon. I understand that they need to be pressed in and out, however every place local to me within walking distance all say "just take it to pedders" and they will do it for you! I lready have the bushes, came as part of a kit.

Does anyone know where around the Waterloo area that I may be able to take the arms to, preferably on a saturday, to press out the bushes? The new urethane ones dont need to be pressed in, so I only need someone to press them out.

If anyone here is from around that area, and has a press, or knows how to do it without one, i'd be happy to hear from you!

I did mine myself, but i woulden't recommend it, it was bloody hard work. I made up my own puller using a peice of 1/2 threaded rod a bloody big socket (36mm from memory) and heaps of diffrent sized washers. even then it only pulled out the bush and left the shell. then i had to hacksaw through the shell and use a hammer and punch to knock it out.... Annyway yearh machine shop is the way to go.
