Hey all, just finished putting my manifold back on a few days ago and got left with one small vacuum line thingy. Can't for the life of me work out where it goes to. I did a search and came up with nothing.
Also when I got it back together the car now wants to idle at 2000 rpm, not sure if the computer needs to re-learn or what, had the battery off for about a month. It also jumps upto 2k when the clutch is put in. I've unplugged the ISC and it has settled down to about 900 and gear changes are back to normal. Does this mean my ISC is shagged, or needs a clean or something ? |

Doesnt that go to the heater tap?
The same hose on my EA was loose so I ripped it out. |

that my friend is a vacumme hose and will make the engine rev faster when it is disconnected. Does ur air conditioning work? usually it will stop it from pumping cool air. there is a little spot for it to go beneathe that black intake piping on a sort of plastic looking rail (all from memory here sorry) if the car is running, once u push the pipe into the little slot for it it should make an immediate difference in idle speed. From memory i think there is also a green small pipe which goes in somewhere around there as well

That hose being a vacuum leak would cause all that. Dunno where it goes! Dan could be right, it'd be heating/cooling/interior related for sure. What doesn't work in regards to AC/heating?

its one of two hose used for the heater valves if memory serves me right it shoul be connected at the heat tap and to a vacume tree on the inside(engine side) back of the inlet manifold near where the fuel lines come up
