i think i got the same problem. I installed the R1 and had to undo the tensioner but its got a little bit of noise at the moment so i think it needs wearing in again..

JMM has previously said the dev 5 cam profile is prone to causing timing chain noise.

and ebs_4l has previously said to fit a stiffer tensioner spring, this has worked on others with (not so much big, but rough) cam profiles...

where to get one, take yours out, take it to a spring maker, and have one made with a lot more tension.... i found a spring laying around that worked.

ive had custom springs made by a spring shop before, only cost me $50 for 10 custom made stainless springs made to my dimensions

is it timing chain rattle or timing chain rubbing if it rattle the tensioner is loose if it rubbing its to tight .how bouts did you or the workshop reset the timing tensioner there is a certain way of doing it so as that it dosent make noises
