Okay, so I've established that vinyl dye + leather = no, see attached picture.

Now what I want to know is, do any places sell leather by the metre or something like pieces of leather (spotlight do not)?

Or how much would it cost roughly to recover 4 LTD arm rests?

Also how much you guys think I'll get charged to have someone fit LTD leather side bolster skins to Falcon side bolster foam (not a straight swap over at all, LTD bolsters are larger and different shape)?

you probably want reborn leather or pleather again as it'll be cheaper and is harder waring from what I've been told.
any auto interior joint should be able to sell you some. also other places that do furniture making and recovering.

Clean it off and use leather dye. You should be able to remove the vinyl dye with metho and the dye it with leather dye, any good bootmaker will be able to supply in a small bottle, 100ml I think.

I'm going down this road here now lads...

"Hello Adam;

We are a wholesaler, and as such can only quote on supply of the leather.
We currently have a black auto spec leather on sale in small amounts, enough to cover these rests, for $35.00sqm, plus GST.
These hides measure about 2.5sqm, which means you do not have to buy a full hides of leather, about 5sqm, to do this small job.
If we can be of further service please email again.

Regards
Alternate Textiles"

Sounds cheapish to me, and I'll have branddd new leather. The original leather on the armrests are fudged big time anyway.

O and this now raises the question. What would be best for gluing the back of the leather to the plastic frame section of the armrest?
