Hey all
Ive read plenty of threads about people asking of the difficulties of the conversion etc but my biggest question is who is selling conversion kits these days? That is reconditioned transmissions (not something from the wreckers), clutch pedal box assembly etc..

Wreckers are just about the only place you will get a kit. If you want a recon box, just drop it off at a gearbox shop on the way home

The kits keep getting cheaper and cheaper
For a long time there the price was constant at around $1250 for a complete conversion. Now they seem to be coming up regularly for around the $800 mark. Conversions from EA's tend to be cheaper as the gear ratios are quite as good. Personally I wouldnt bother with a recon until I had driven the car. Pulling it out for a rebuild isnt a huge job.
