One is ECT Engine Coolant Temp and the other(if you have it) is for Climate control.
I don't think they look untidy so I've left them alone. Pete. |

The one that's plugged in(black connector/grey sensor body). |

so... if i were to unscrew the sensor and those pipes, and screw the sensor straight into the manifold ( i dont run a water heater , have electric), would that affect the way the sensor would read?

Without trying to steal your post I think this is something I have been having trouble finding.
I have a thermo switch and am trying to find the engine temperature sensor that the Climate control uses. I know where the sensor is on the I6 but cant find it on the V8. any help would be greatly appreciated. |

From what ive been told, the long plastic plug is the guage temp, and the one that looks like an injector plug is for the climate

Temp gauge sensor is on the other side of the intake right at the front. |

Oh and on EF/NF/DF up, the ECT sensor signal to the EEC is sent via serial data to the instrument cluster hence, EF/NF/DF up don't need a separate temp sender. |
