Hey peeps,
Okay, got the EL XR body kit about to be installed.. What i wanted to know is, how do we install the bonnet vents? I mean, do you create a hole into the bonnet or? Because if you dont, then it sits rather high on the bonnet, and un-even.. But if you do, how do u stop the water from going it? 
Also, the door pannels, how do we install them? They come with two metal peices on the back of the panel that you can drill into. BUT if i do drill into that from the door, then wont the front top part of the panel create a gap from the door? Hope you guys can gimme tips. The rest of the kit is rather easy..sides, front & back. Anyways, thx guys. -doof!

cant really answer your questions. but the factory xr bonnet has a slight recess in it where the vents screw in.
however, more interested in where you got the kit and how much u payed. (cause being in perth sucks:P)

ef/el xr bonnets have holes cut out for the vents. They vents come with a same size plastic tray that screws in on the underside of the bonnet.

Oh really? Hmm didnt know that.
Well i have a standard EF bonnet...hmm Well ive contacted Bob from CCS and hes given me some tips. Will give it a wiz. Thx for that swine.. Also, gaz, i payed $860 posted to Perth through Canberra Car Styling. Forum sponsor. Speak to Bob, great bloke and will help with anything

if you have aftermarket vents then they are just made to stick ontop of the bonnet.
if you've got genuine vents tehn you have a bit of work ahead of you to get them in. |

Just a tip for you, dont say the rest of the kit is easy.
To get a proper 100% fit on the front and rear skirt, make sure you do lots of test fits. Have a file handy to file away areas of the skirt to make it fit 100%. Time and effort is needed on the test fit to make it look 110% right. |

Yep, for sure. Will do arm79.
We'll be taking off the rear bumper and the front to test fit the skirts before doing anything else. Also, the vents will be a lot of work. How do you guys propose i fit them. I mean, i know ill have to cut into the bonnet. Knowing my bonnet isnt made for vents, how would i go about fitting them and making it water proof?

Test fit it with the bumpers on the car first. You will have to file grooves into the skirts to accomodate plastic arch guards. As they are now, the skirts dont accomodate things like this.

Ahh yeah gotcha.
Yesterday we were just lining up the skirts to the car to see how it would look and noticed the arche guards and stuff. Great tip arm79!

You don't need to take the front bar off to fit the air dam. You DEFINITELY have to take the rear bar off for the rear skirt, though.
