yeah the DBA slotted discs and lucas pads pull up hard, and reassuringly, even when given a good flogging.

The prince of darkness make brakepads? Or is this a different Lucas from teh English company of yesteryear? I am very happy with my experience with Bendix pads since they've changed to organic compounds. Their asbestos pads were s**t. In my car, they wouldn't work nice till they got to a couple of hundred degrees, and they only had a max operating temp of 280 degrees. So you either had crap brakes, or were running them on the limit of fading whenever you hit the pedal. |

Re Lucas Pads - these are not from the UK but are from Europe. the company is TRW Lucas - which make OE equipment. These pads come Pre scortched and require minimal bedding in. Repco in NZ sell a number of different pad types and we market these as our premium - even above Bendix Ultimate. They are tested to destruction -

I know this is getting away from the thread topic, but what are the specs on those Lucas pads and are they worth it? With the Bendix ultimates producing minimal dust and have a max operating temp of 540 degrees (I think) for around the $90 mark...... |
