i need to replace my steering colum bearing. has anybody done this before. whats involved. if anyone can help me out it would be much appreciated.
OR If anyone has a ford workshop manual, max ellery, gregory manual could you please scan and email me the the appropriate sections on how to replace this bearing. by the way the car is a 6cyl ed falcon cheers

You cant, its a unique bearing and is not replacable.
So its either a new column from Ford (last I heard they were $700) or a visit to the wreckers. They generally die because people drop the column and let it hang solely on the bearing, which stuffs it. You should undo the plate at the firewall first then the other bolts.
