i think we are all smart enough on this forum to know we have to put our seatbelts on when driving,
but there are times when you jump in the car, and not have your seatbelt on, like when you just get in, and start it to get the a/c going; then piss f@rt around for a moment organising s**t - putting phone in charger etc, with the car beeping at you constantly, it makes it quite annoying!

again, i think at least most of us are smart enough to realise that we need to have seatbelts on all the time.

my 2 cents

It's anoiying as. I had the BA ute for deliveries when I was filling in the other week. shat me right off - I always have the seat belt on when I'm actually driving. but often i'm scratching around the cab for the next parcel (and there's no point turning thje engine off for every 1 minutes stop) and the things beeping at me.
For a normnal person it's fine to jsut put your seat belt on. but for a working car, it's not so simple.

well im glad there are some people out there that can appreciate my point.

as said before - we aint idiots driving around with no seat-belt on.
and seeing as there IS a way to turn it off - Ford obviously knew it would piss off some drivers.

It is a good saftey feature, im just glad to be rid of it tho :D

mine doesn't beep until i put it in drive. i can start up and reverse down drive without my belt and without beeps. when i move it to drive then it starts beeping. if i'm going out the belt will be on way before then but if i'm just shifting cars around my yard then i don't use the belt. i don't find the chime that annoying in any case. its very quiet.

I think it might be illegal to be in a car(drivers seat) with the engine running even if you are not driving without seat belt on(not 100%sure though)

I know it is illegal to be in a car with the key in the ignition when you are over the limit, as a mate of mine lost his license sitting in his car with his keys in the ignition, he had the seat back and was planning to sleep in the car as he was too p****d to drive.....ended up losing his license for 6 month when the cops stopped and breath tested him
