are there any differnces that will make a 3.9 to 4L conversion difficult?
ECU?
manifolds?
any body selling a low km 4L?
what is one worth?

They have different rods and pistons. I think they have the same crank, but aren't sure on that one.

The heads were redesigned too.

I have a 1990 EA-S and it has been changed from 3.9 to the 4L ;)

Stroke is the same so I'd say the crank is also, differance in short motor is mainly the bore, giving a whopping 35mls more!

Yeah I think the bore was increased VERY marginally.

Then again, with such a long stroke, it wouldn't have made sense to increase the stroke.
