Just wondering if its possible, and if it how to, make fibreglass yourself for stereo installations? |

sit down figure out what you want and buy a fibreglassingkit and have a go, trial and error the only wasy to learn

your local hardware...
i got mine from the guy who shapes my surfboards tho as he just cut me off a sheet, gave me a bit of resin and hardener for a six pack its a simple process, but took me a few goes to get it right...lay the fibre glass sheet over what you wanna fibreglass, then mix the epoxy resin in the right amount with hardener and spread it over the fibreglass not too thick(too much hardener makes it set faster and means its more brittle, too little and you will wait forever for it to set)

does the fibreglass sheet flex? Like so u can make a sub box and that?

yeah it flex's and will be fine for a sub box, just make sure you have something to mould it to

Yeh best way is to construct frame from mdf etc and mould to that or simplay build a frame mount it in your car after masking tape the fook out of it...and mould as you go...all you need is some fabric, the fibreglass its self...a hardner and resin ... few good DYI tutorials on the CAA forums.
