Hi
I just bought a NL 'Lane and it came with tailored lambswool covers all over the leather seats. First thing I did was remove the sheep from the car. (found all kinds of stuff on the leather, stains etc. dust, heaps of dust.) It seems whoever did the job has had to remove the lumbar control knobs as they were ALL missing , except for one on the passenger side. This one fell off in my hand. I cant get it to 'lock' back on. How do they work to replace? Even trying the knob on my drivers seat , i cant get it to adjust the lumbar. although it seems to 'catch' it doesn't 'lock on' to be able to adjust. Will a wrecker be able to provide new knobs? that will fit easily enough? Should there be a clip or a pin involved? I see none.

Yeah I remember accidentally pulling one off my Dad's EF Mont. Just really need to push it in hard I think, if I remember correctly. Good luck.
Black NL, ya lucky bastard, lol.

Ford dealers have none. Non production.
I have to go to a wrecker.. thats going to be fun getting them with clips, pins whatever.

They have no clips or pins.
The clips are on the actual white lumber adjuster mechanisim thing. So when you put the knob and its backing plate on, you need to rotate it until you feel the slots line up with each other, then bash it with your fist and it will feel/hear it click in. For replacements, just take a long flat blade screw driver to a wrecker. Find some GLi seats and lever up the backing plate of the knob and it will just pop off. |
