hey people just wondering what the ideal engine km's is to ad a supercharger or turbo. i've saved enough (i think) to ad a basic turbo set up. but not sure if my inline 6 is up to it (200 000km) The real question is that will it be best if i rebuild my current engine, or buy another with less km's. oh btw my current motor is in good working order always serviced and compession is good for NA tune. Thanks

Of course it would be best to start with a fresh motor but I turboed my old EB with 300,000kms and it was fine for 6 months. It only made 74rwkw when it was NA so it was pretty much gone from the start. It made 202 afterwards.

I would turbo what you have then get another motor ready for when this one dies.

It might last another 100,000kms if tuned right. You just cant tell.

All depends on how the motor has been treated. There is a guy over here in WA that has a 200,000+km EB that he has put a turbo on, and now he is pushing 460rwhp.

I would say if you *think* you have enough money saved up you very probably don't have enough. Projects like this always end up blowing way out of budget.

I think a reference to "Search Button" may have gotten a better response.
