Hi guys, mechanic told me my front discs are warped due to seized calipers.
He wants to charge me $90 each side to rebuild them, so $180 all up for 2. Is that right? whats involved in a rebuild? Cheeerz |

yeah that sounds about right, around $45 per kit and an hour or less to fit per kit..
but unless it is leaking then there is not much point fitting kit just grease the slides on eather end of the caliper..

first thing you should do is get ahold of a work shop manuel (gregories should cover it) read up on it, if you feel confadent give it a go, they are a pritty basic design caliper and not a hard thing to fit kits to...

You really need a bead blaster to clean the o'ring grooves properly, and you may find that you need pistons.
Get a price from Repco, they do exchange calipers, and then you have warranty, and no worries about fitting the kits yourself.

Repco just quoted me $214 each side for front rotors.
Can i get them anyware else cheaper? I might just have to fork out the $90 each side rebuild. Cheers |
