What is the normal temperature peoples car generally sit at? Mine generally sits in the section below the normal box. After reading other peoples posts they talk about theirs being somewhere in the word "normal" mine has never got that high?
Is that right? Or should I be looking to change my coolant, thermostat and other stuff like that... |

i'd check temp sender or gauge. Your temp should atleast hit the [normal]

yea mine is the same in my EBII
has never hit the normal box but sits in the cold zone even on major hot days or after a decent....spot of overtaking im putting in an aftermarket water temp guage so that mite tell some truth, but its no use if the car is constantly in warm up mode becuse it thinks its cold kethpaker , whats your fuel economy like? becuse if its got the same problem as mine i tihnk they mite have the wrong sender unit and be stuck in warm up mode , hence why im getting 200K's from a tank |

My EA was the same after having motor rebuilt. After running in, the operating temp got lower and lower until it stayed in the cold range. I replaced the newly fitted thermostat with genuine Ford unit and now runs in the middle of Normal. Checked actual temp with infrared non contact thermometer and all is good. Electric fans rarely come on, only if sitting in stationery traffic for extended period. Even when A/C is on which brings one fan on it stays in mid normal. Radiator and hoses were all replaced when motor done so all is in good condition.
