Has anyone had any joy fitting a canton sump into an EL xr8?

Has anyone had any joy fitting a canton 9 quart sump into an EL xr8?

The canton sump is U.S made.. personally I'd fit the Energy sump.. Its Aussie made and should fit our Falcons better... The Mustangs are rear sump design ...

I wish I'd have heard about Energy sumps before I bought the supposedly fit over main cap girdle front sump. I finished up removing a diverter plate inside the sump and rounding of the back corners of the square bottom. Also trim and rewelded side edges of K frame. All good eventually.
