As being late for work meant getting a little sidways and flicking it back around to get around bus on slightly dodgy corner to dodge between truck and bus...
Previously very straight EL Fairmont Wagon. Now curb damaged rim with great hunk out of middle (turns out bus bumpers are made of sterner stuff than my alloys) and I have this bloody dent... It's a goodun. Have managed to lever the worst bit out, which is cool - I can now shut the rear passenger door again (and it opens without grinding noises too..!) but the wheel arch is still a total mess... Makes the wheels look completely offset as tyre sticks out... I was thinking about buying one of these things --- http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=96870398 but they look a little Japanese "tin foil" car type to me... Any advice appreciated...

the 200 odd spent on that plus you've probably still got to fix the paint. wouldn't it end up not costing much more to take it to a bodyworks?
don't get me wrong i'm all for DIY. just sometimes there's a bit more to consider. |

I wouldnt waste my money on it unless you wanted to roll your gaurds to fit bigger wheels because thats all its good for.

Mate thats a tool to roll your guards, got nothing to do with smash repairs, it just rolls the guard edge for tyre clearance..
The damage on your car is the outer skin, this works on the inner skin PS They are Guards...not Gaurds |
