hey guys,
i have premo audio in an ef fairmont and i want to take my front speakers out to replace them. i got the door trims off fine, but i noticed that the speaker has 3..... "security" screws on it. now these dont take torx bits, it looks like you need a special socket, can someone tell me how to undo them. thanks guys, Saiken

Agood pair of pliers, get a good grip on the head of the screw and squeeze hard and turn.
Worked for me. |

Or try a small set of vicegrips, just to crack them - once they're loose, use pliers.
Obviously you'll replace them with standard self tappers.

I was going to suggest using a 4mm socket bit...that's what i used....i think it was 4mm or 5mm.

have you tried using security torx bits? they are only a few dollars more from the hardware
