Just searching on ebay for random stuff for car, found boot gas struts.. will these replace the orginal booot bar things that get in the way of good looking audio boot installs?

do they work? heres the link

No they don't replace the boot hinges. Your car will already have these struts fitted. You only need to replace them if your boot doesn't stay up.

If you look under the parcel shelf you will see where the struts are.

That's alright, you're not the only one! I tried to swap a set of these after everyone kept telling me how easy it was to do. Well it was easy, but I just couldn't get the strength to compress them enough to clip them back on - ended up paying a mechanic to do it!
