hello all, not to long ago i came into the ownership a manual EF XR8 :D and my god is it fun to drive compared to my auto 6cyl.

anyways thats not my problem. my problem is that the guy who previously owned it removed some hoses/vacum lines which go into and out of the the block looking things in between the t/b and inlet manifold because he didnt want hot water heating up the inlet charge

firstly what is this?

sencondly, what does it do?

and lastly where are these pipes supposed to go?

any help is much apprecciated also credit is given to Vic because this is actually his pic.

forgive my ignorance atm, im still learning what some of the new things are under the hood :?

There just coolant passages, think they're for cold start etc, have had mine disconnected for a while now with now worry's, if anything it will run better, because of the cooler intake charge.

According to various mustang site/forums, they say to leave coolant lines connected, as having them disconnected apparently makes the intake air WARMER (not cooler)!

I'll reconnect mine one day when i get around to it

The Cobra Mustang doesn't have them.. I wouldn't worry too much...They have been known to leak..Inside bad news as water doesn't compress to well... Our climate doesn't require heating or cooling...Plus the coolant is only in this EGR area...

Dude, are you sure they are pipes?

They look like the studs that the accelerator cable bracket is fitted too (thats an AU Explorer intake?).

EDIT: Oops, I am an idiot...nothing to see here...lol
