hey all, building my 3.23 LSD (decided not to go minispool) and when i pulled this diff apart it didnt have a gasket, just some silicone :shock: doesnt suprise me since alted performance build the diff mind you it had less then 1 liter of oil too...

anyways im chasing a gasket for it... does anyone know if someone makes them or should i just make one?

id really like to have the diff built within the next 2 weeks so any help would be appreciated

just use silicon again, just make sure both surfaces are clean and use decent silicon

silicone will be fine

Ultra black or 3 bond

u sure it was 1 litre?
a diff takes just over 2 iirc

lol yeah im sure, i still have the oil tray under the diff.

if you heard about alted performance he was known for doing things dodgy. and the diff was rebuild by him so im going to get the gears checked, but they look ok from what i can tell.

They don't have a gasket out of the factory, as above just use silicone.

well i just got back from supercheap.. i ordered a gasket in. cost 12 bucks, silicone was 20 bucks a tube... so being the tight a** i am i got the gasket :P

i learnt that there is difference between EA and EB diffs, apparently the bolt hoes are slightly different different size? or something like that

theres no guarantee the gasket wont leak, and you should still use silicon on the gasket anyway.
Proably will cost you the same end of the day when you need to do it again...
