Yep thats the best way to go....remove the bootlid carpet, lay dynamat extreme or sound off ... just check for anyother vibrating components and seal them, cover them, tie them down, screw them in etc etc

Expanda foam spray can stuff. Use it behind and arround the braces and stuff.
Cheap, and works better than silicone.
Although if you has the money, dynamat ftw.

Becareful using expander foam as it promotes rust..

Dynamat or equivilant.. i also found an old bike tube cut up into pieces and glues down worked pretty good under the boot bracing..

Cheers,
Nik

I used silicone and ive got 2 dd 12's that would pump twice as loud as those alpines and it did the job. Just put a bunch of matches in between the bootlid braces and the skin and fill the gaps with silicon then pull said matches out :)

Worked a treat for me

i had the number plate problem after i installed my new cam...
pieces of rubber down each side fixed that.

the 2x12's firing into the cabin wreak havoc with the roof though behind the sunroof
