would anyone agree that there is a pyrimid effect in terms of putting mods onto your car?

eg exhaust before extractors, or bigger maf before heads etc........

cause looking at all these threads about exhausts, heads ,cams etc does get a bit confussing in terms of when to put it on after what.

cheers

Yeah pretty much.
Pointless working the motor if it can't breathe - so exhaust and intake mods should be up to scratch first.

I guess it doesnt matter what order you do it.. but all the changes will work in together in the end.

just remember to plan out what you want to do and make sure everything will be compatible.. and then bit by bit you can change things.

No use putting on extractors to suit your current head, and then going to aftermarket heads which require different extractors a month later. Just common sense :D

It's best to have a plan and stick to it. Work out a combination and get the parts piecemeal if you need to - but remember not to overlap things - eg - change manifold and then weeks later change cam - then change heads on a different day. Will cost you 3 intake gaskets instead of 1. Do the "simple mods first and do heads, cam and intake at once. ! individual part on it's own (sans a blower) will not make power - it has to work as a combination.
