you need the specefic wagon tailshaft, altho i believe, correct me if im wrong, that the 3spd auto tailshaft is the same length as the wagons? i think i read that somewhere. Just hit your local wreckers up and see whats around, youll need a ea shaft tho because of the way they bolt up to the diff, ea's used the two U style brackets and the later e series used a flange that bolted together
cheers chris

I believe that auto=manual as long as same diff and body. EG borg or 9"
Station wagon and fairlane same as each other with same diff as they are both 5" (?) longer in chassis. If no one can confirm then give stock standard a pm.

from my experience, a 3spd auto from a ea has the same length as the t5, and the btr 4spd is a longer box so it has a shorter tailshaft, so manual shafts are different to the autos

You need a LWB driveshaft, a fairlaine or even a shaft from a BA/BF wagon may fit as they have the same slip and diff flange. Im not 100% sure on the length.

plenty at pick-a-part in melb for cheap.....
You can probably get one sent up from deer park wreckers or ftg auto salvage. Best to try locally though unless you were making a trip to the city anyway. |
