Is it best to keep a spare battery (not in car) fully charged or as it came out of the car (prob 3/4 charged) in order to give it the longest shelf life. Any other tips for increasing storage life or useful life appreciated.

Interested in selling it mate? If so, PM me - I'm after a cheap battery. |

Don't store then on a cold concrete floor
that apparently stuffs them up pretty quick

that's an urban myth, store them anywhere safe
FYI, I store over 250 batteries in an outdoor building (unheated). I ensure the batteries are fully charged prior to storage, and charge them only once in January. I have yet to lose a battery over the winter and have had some last up to 9 years before I gave it the boot. A good battery will give a least five full years of service. One more thing to try and kill an urban legend: Storing your battery on a concrete floor will not hurt your battery http://www.brownsmarina.com/tech-winter-outboard.html http://www.centurybatteries.com.au/asp/ ... 494&id=361 |
