Do a search in the Gearbox/Suspension/Brake Forum.
You should find info there.

there is a plug on the side
transmission should be "warm" when the check is done
service manual says let cool down for two, but not more than 4 hours before checking
correct level is bottom of fill hole
use castrol TQ95

What about allowing for fluid expansion?

Measuring when cold means overfull at opertating temp, and vise versa?

And ... depending on how fast your going and up what sort of hill your driving up etc., the fluid expands and bleeds out the overflow and onto the exhaust and it will leave a cloud of smoke like you wouldn't believe. Trust me.

you can run a length of tube through the engine bay or use the little filler hook thing the mechanics use. if u get tube from bunnings or somthing make sure it doesnt touch the exhaust manifold cause it will melt. 12 or 14mm clear hose will do the trick and make sure the car is level

your best bet is to go to a auto trannie guy, pay some coin and get a dip stick put in :)
