Has anyone ever put a Smartlock light into a non smartlock dash? I've been thinking about trying it but unsure if it would work or whats required.
Any help/advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

just wire up an LED and put on your dash some were..

there was a guy with a EB Series 1 at my old work thats has the documents for fitting smartlock to it. I think he mainly wanted the remotes. But he did it and it worked well. Cant remember what he did though.

if you are putting in a smartlock ECU/BEM, why not install the corresponding cluster?

My ED has Smartlock but the tacho dash doesn't hence my original question of converting a non-Smartlock dash to Smartlock.

you will find that its not as simple as whack in in the smartlock LED, you should however be able to swap over the bit of the cluster with the idiot lights on it, and cut a hole through the back of the cluster housing for the smartylock LED
