I have owned my EL now for nearly 3 years, done 60000km in the old girl. The odometer sits on 128000km and all i have had to replace besides the usual oil and filters is the following;

1) Oxygen sensor

2) Battery

3) Idle Pulleys

4) Serpentine Belt

Cheers...

crikey... I did 165000 klm in my wagon in 18 months ..... I bought it with 40k then serviced NAB security all over the state for 18 months before i wrote it off. I needed 2 sets of front discs(50k, 182k), a few pad changes, new belts, hoses (100k service) I also fitted 17" wheels and upgraded suspension but this was not needed per se'.... rear shocks and heavy leaf for the load carrying
My current Ef wagon has 347k and has had 2 head gaskets primarily due to coolant loss..... water pump, idlers, belt, heater tap, oxygen sensor, raiator, surge tank, caliper overhaul, discs.... No other major problems other than the gas system needs an overhaul but is still running ok.

My EL had almost 300k and only ever needed a brake light switch. Go EL!

My EF has had heaps of issues, after about 5,000km's it suddenly needed mag wheels, tehn it wanted a sub, then slotted rotters, then XR itnerior, and finanally it demanded a supercharger. Don't trust these cars there money suckers!
